Coordinated projects involving cross-functional IT teams, operations, external vendors, and offshore partners. · Developed practice of highly entrepreneurial agile professionals within a large corporate structure for the rollout and adoption of agile and scrum methodologies to technical teams, country operations and executives.
· Chartered new department that grew to a team of 30 agile practitioners within 4 years, serving EU headquarters and operations in 8 European countries; responsible for an annual department budget in excess of €7M. Defined and implemented an agile transformation strategy, based on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), for Liberty Global’s IT department, an organization of 300+ geographically diverse internal associates as well as offshore vendor resources.
· Designed custom scaled agile delivery model which resulted in on-time/on-budget launches of Liberty Global’s first mobile telephony rollout and largest company IT merger, and decreased software release time from 4 months to 2 weeks.
· Chaired company-wide annual agile conferences to inform and evangelize agile concepts, including presentations and keynotes by well-known agile thought leaders. Developed training suite to educate employees on agile methodologies and to provide continuing education on new and emerging agile techniques. Created and conducted training courses and continuing education classes for scrum masters, product owners, line managers, and team members.
· As technical project lead for BSS/OSS integrations, successfully managed onsite project teams of technical analysts across 5 continents. Accountable for all technical aspects of software rollouts, including system integration and data migration. Authored yearly business plans to forecast revenues and resources for project integration and migration.
· Successfully managed end-to-end delivery of software integration on a large-scale product implementation for Scandinavia’s largest telecommunications provider.
· Introduced professional services model to the company to drive additional revenue from existing customer base. Developed project integration standards and documentation that were ultimately used on all project rollouts.
